Melissa qualified in 2013 from Eastman dental institute in London after obtaining a diploma in Dental Hygiene. Melissa grew up in the Southern State of Louisiana USA, before she relocated with family to the North Western state of Washington DC, where she achieved a high school diploma with honours and an associate arts degree in General Nursing. After moving to the UK, Melissa decided to attend university once more and pursue her dream of becoming a Dental Hygienist because of her passion and special interest in dentistry and oral health.

 

Melissa is passionate about every aspect of dental hygiene; from her clinical work, through to the personal interactions with her patients. Her empathy for others and meticulous nature ensures patients receive a gentle but thorough hygiene experience. She takes pride in providing treatment of the highest quality for each and every patient, ensuring their visit is a positive and pleasant experience.

 

Melissa has had a variety of experience treating patients with periodontal disease, anxiety/dental fear, and special needs. Melissa is qualified to carry out periodontal therapy, full mouth debridement’s, soft tissue examinations, whitening treatments, dental radio-graphs, impressions and offer dietary advice to patients.

 

Outside of the dental surgery, Melissa enjoys going to the gym, spending time with friends, watching theatre shows and dining out.
