Dr Thomas Dey BDS Lond

GDC: 114616

More about Thomas:

For over five years, Thomas Dey ran his successful private practice in dynamic Islington: Ranging from students studying at prestigious London Universities to VIP and high-net worth clientele, some who were only in London for a few months at a time.

His new practice went from zero to treating over 2000 patients in just five years through a dedication to quality and the highest standards of patient care.

Thomas' past as a design engineer at Dyson helped develop his dexterity and critical judgement. A life before dentistry means Thomas also understands being on the other side of dental chair.

After retraining as a dentist and winning prizes in his degree and VT year, Thomas worked in South and West London until starting his fully private clinic in 2012.

Thomas has focused his clinical expertise in three areas:

1 Minimal-Intervention Dentistry> using advanced scanners to identify decayed tooth tissue, Carisolv enzymes to preserve healthy tooth when removing decay and the most biocompatible composites available.

2 Intelligent smile design> to create natural, individually focussed changes to clients teeth. Thomas prides himself on delivering lasting aesthetic outcomes.

3 Facial Aesthetics treatments with an oral focus> Thomas focuses his filler treatments on the smile area

Why use magnification?

In his quest for the best results Thomas has been using high magnification telescopes over a decade. Today Thomas does all of his dentistry and facial aesthetics treatments under magnification of 5 times and sometimes with powerful colour-corrected LED lighting. Magnification makes it simple to provide gentle and precise dentistry.

Why is magnification so rarely used?

There is a significant learning curve in beginning to use magnification. Thomas feels that it has taken many years to be comfortable with a smaller field of view.
